Prenatal Yoga with Andy

Welcome

Being pregnant is a wonderful opportunity to connect with self and your baby through gentle movement, breath work and meditation. This prenatal yoga series will help you build strength and stamina, flexibility and balance, whilst teaching you how to connect with your breath and bring awareness to your body; supporting you in the best possible way as you journey through your pregnancy. It will also help you stay active and connected throughout your pregnancy.

All of our prenatal classes and practices below are guided by Andy. Start with the warm up sequence and then select your practice from the list below. Choosing what feels best for you on any given day and stage of your pregnancy. Remember to practice mindfully and rest when needed.

You'll find below a list of classes to practice for each trimester, plus dynamic classes to suit other needs you may have. We know you're probably short on time so we've included the length of each video/audio file for your convenience. Once you've chosen your practice simply click on the video to play. Be sure to open it into full screen so you can easily follow along.

Warm Up

This sequence is the perfect start to your practice. Use it as your warm up for any of the following practices or as a stand alone practice.

Yoga For 1st Trimester

This sequence is designed for the first trimester but is great for any stage of your pregnancy.

Yoga For 2nd Trimester

This sequence is designed for the second trimester.  Take advantage of new found energy to build strength & stamina.

Yoga For 3rd Trimester

This sequence is designed for the third trimester. We'll create space for the belly, open up the chest and ease some of the most common pregnancy discomforts.

Yoga For 4th Trimester

This sequence is designed for the fourth trimester (the first 6-12 weeks) to counter the feeding and changing positions we find ourselves in as new mamas.

Therapeutic Yoga For Common Conditions

This sequence is designed to address some of the most common pregnancy conditions including pelvic instability, heartburn, morning sickness, sciatica, leg cramps, fluid retention and swelling.

Advanced Class

The perfect practice if you already have an established yoga practice. We'll move through more dynamic movements and stronger variations.

Prenatal Barre

This short prenatal barre class will strengthen the legs whilst gently working with your core.

Your teachers

Andy Broadbear

Andy is a registered Yoga Therapist & Teacher, co-creator of YogaMamas, hobby photographer and busy mama of 3. She has been a passionate yogi for over a decade, with particular interest in women’s health, stemming from her specialty in pre + postnatal yoga. She is also an experienced Yin & children’s yoga teacher, as well as qualified in prenatal pilates. Based in Melbourne, Andy worked with 2XU on their prenatal compression range as well as being featured as a guest blogger on various yoga and motherhood wellness sites.

As one half of the YogaMamas team her philosophy is simple. Provide you with a holistic, authentic, educated approach to motherhood that is underpinned by the teachings of yoga.

Andy comes from a place of experience, compassion and learning, hoping to offer mamas inspiration & support for their motherhood journey.


Kate Payne

Kate is a Yoga Therapist and Teacher, as well as a pre + postnatal specialist and busy mama. Originally from Melbourne, but now based in far north Queensland, Australia, Kate has been practicing yoga for more than a decade, spending much of this time exploring the intricate studies of yoga and spirituality. She is the co creator of Yoga Mamas and has worked with the likes of 2XU on their postpartum compression range as well as being featured across various yoga and motherhood websites.

Her philosophy is simple. Provide you with a holistic, authentic, educated approach to motherhood that is underpinned by the teachings of yoga.

You won’t find any quick fixes, promises of the perfect body or stress free lifestyles here. What she can guarantee is a journey to your true self that’s informative, inspirational, empowering and individual.
